Ms. Franco is a Master Certified Heath Education Specialist (MCHES) with over 15 years of experience in clinical settings. As a Senior Health Educator for Montefiore Medical Systems, Ms. Franco provides individual and group education to patients on a variety of health conditions with a focus on disease prevention and management. The focus of her work is often on behavior modification for disease management, which is something she is passionate about. She thinks people really thrive when they feel understood not from the point of their health condition, but rather as the complete individual in his or her context. Lasting and often permanent behavioral change happens when people develop trust in their own abilities, feel supported through the process of skill learning and are afforded access to need resources. Ms. Franco strives to provide each one of her patients with that opportunity.
